Dollywood and Dolly Parton announced their plans to open a new lodging option for guests called HeartSong Lodge & Resort. This resort-style lodging option will be adjacent to DreamMore Resort, Dollywood, and Dollywood’s Splash Country. Find out more about HeartSong Lodge & Resort below:
HeartSong Lodge & Resort
HeartSong Lodge & Resort is slated to open in 2023 with 302 rooms across 5 stories. The resort-style lodge offers multiple options for lodging, including family suites, bunk rooms, loft rooms, and themed suites. Some of the rooms will include balconies where you can look out at the incredible Smoky Mountains. There will be high ceilings and exposed beams in some rooms to create an open, airy feel.
In the atrium, there will be four-story, lantern-inspired windows to create the sense you’re in the mountains with natural light, and an oversized stone fireplace will be the centerpiece of the lobby. Guests will be able to enjoy indoor and outdoor pools, an outdoor cove, communal fire pits, and screened-in porches.
There will be a 195-seat, full-service restaurant and lounge where families can eat meals together. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy private dining or convenient on-the-go options at Wildflower Market Grab & Go Eatery, a separate eatery from the full-service restaurant. There’s also the Honeysuckle & Pine Storied Goods Mercantile, an outpost full of souvenirs guests will want to take home to remember their family adventure.
For large groups or events, there are 26,000-square-feet indoor and outdoor meeting spaces. With all of these gathering places spread across the Lodge, families and friends will have plenty of opportunities to make memories together.
Name Inspiration
The name of the Lodge comes from one of Dolly’s songs released in 1994 of the same name. It was inspired by the Great Smoky Mountains, and the Dollywood Company wanted to embody Dolly’s love for the Smokies and the beauty of the area with the name and aesthetic of the Lodge. From the stone fireplace in the lobby to the natural textures and colors, people will feel the inspiration of the Smokies all throughout the Lodge.
Growth for the Dollywood Company
The President of the Dollywood Company, Eugene Naughton, expressed that since they announced the opening of DreamMore Resort in 2015, the Smoky Mountain area has emerged as one of the top destinations in the country for vacations. The company hopes that by announcing the opening of HeartSong Lodge & Resort, Dolly’s dream of bringing people to the Smokies to share the beauty of the area and providing jobs for people in the local community will continue to grow.
Since 2010, the Dollywood Company has invested over $220 million into their properties. Some of these expansions include the DreamMore Resort, Lightning Rod roller coaster, and Wildwood Grove. During the announcement of HeartSong, Naughton also briefly mentioned plans for a record-breaking new attraction coming in 2023, three additional resorts, and a campground resort.
