The 2025 Tax Free Weekend in Tennessee begins at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, July 25 and ends Sunday, July 27 at 11:59 p.m. During the tax-free weekend, you can purchase a number of items without having to pay sales tax. The items include clothing under $100 per item, school supplies under $100 per item, and computers under $1,500. The tax exemption not only applies to items purchased within stores but also to items purchased over the phone, internet, or mail in which the retailer accepts the order during the tax-free holiday.
